Commissioned piece to capture the joy of a granddaughter on the coast of Positano, Italy. In creating this work, I very much enjoyed revisiting my travels to the Amalfi Coast of Italy. In the painting, I loved creating the light coming over the hillside and continuing it on to the balcony, particularly the way this light can create the softness of a little girl as you look closer to the edge of her hair and face. The essence of a moment 🙂
